Veteran's Food Truck

Did you know that you could be receiving a monthly box of food once a month at no cost to you if you are a veteran or widow/widower of a veteran? This wonderful resource is brought to you by the Second Harvest Food Bank as they partner with us to serve the veterans and families of veterans in our community. All you will need is something to validate yourself as a veteran the first visit, and you will be added to the list! There is always a variety of items that they bring that changes from month to month, but some examples include a box of canned and shelf-stable foods, frozen meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk, cheese, and more!

We have the Veteran's Food Truck come every second Tuesday of the month. Vehicles can line up on the service road behind the Senior Center at 11:30am with food distribution beginning at 12:00pm. We ask that you stay in your vehicle once you are in line and simply drive where you are directed. You will get signed in by a volunteer, and then other volunteers will pack your vehicle for you for a drive-through experience. We hope that all the veterans in our area will utilize this resource available to them!

Senior Center Relief Efforts

For anyone needing assistance during this time as we recover from the hurricane, whether a member or not, we have two available handicap-accessible showers, Wi-Fi, a computer, lunch, and a wonderful community of folks that would love nothing more than to support our community whether it be through a kind word or a helping hand. If we can assist you with anything, we hope to be a resource to you! The best way to contact us with inquiries or concerns is to call our office, and we will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. Our thoughts and prayers are with our community as we comfort those who have suffered unimaginable loss and support each other in as many ways as possible. #ErwinStrong

Labor Day Cookout

Come join us on Friday, August 30th at 11am for our Labor Day Cookout! We will have hotdogs, hamburgers, and all the sides and fixings. We ask that everyone attending will sign up for us to get a head count on how much to prepare. If you will simply attend, please bring a $3 donation to go towards covering the meat and drinks. If you wish to bring a side dish or dessert, call or stop by to see what is needed! If you bring a side dish or dessert, no donation will be needed! We hope to see you there to have a good time together!
